Vernon narrowly missed advancing as a team, as the Marauders tied Shelbyville for third at 404, but the Golden Bears advanced on a fifth-player score tiebreaker. New Palestine finished fifth with a 425, while Eastern Hancock was seventh with a 474.

G-C's Kelsey Fisk was the individual champion with an 87. Also scoring for the Cougars were Ali Kern (99), Jordan Dicken (103) and Nicole Morley (109).

Also advancing as individuals are Mt. Vernon's Ellen Werner (91) and Ellen Wurch (92), as well as Eastern Hancock's Hannah Boaz (93). The top three teams and top three individuals on non-advancing teams move on to the regional. The trio was also second, third and fifth overall.

New Palestine's Abby Poole finished in a seventh-place tie and missed advancing by one stroke, shooting a 94 to lead the Dragons. Sarah Rose (105), Jaymie Jarecki (109) and Bailey Kamp (117) also scored for the Dragons.

New Palestine 3, Delta 0: NP outshot the Eagles 17-1 and took the lead just 6:25 into the game, when Lindsay Meyer's shot gave the Dragons a 1-0 edge on Lindsey Kehrt's assist. It proved to be the game-winner. Lauren Joray scored her team-high 10th goal in the first half on Morgan Parish's assist. Kalli Shepler-Tucker added an insurance goal 9:03 into the second half when she cashed in a corner kick that began with Morgan Carpenter's boot, which Meyer redirected to Shepler-Tucker.

Holly Hilton made one save to preserve yet another shutout for the Dragons, who are 10-0-2 and 5-0 in the HHC. They play two games next week -- at home against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. Monday, which is also Doe Creek Night -- and at Pendleton Heights at 7 p.m. Wednesday. PH is also unbeaten in conference play. A Dragon victory would clinch at least a share of the league title.

Mt. Vernon 2, Marion 0: Taylor Gutierrez scored in the first half on an assist from Kristina Voltz, which proved to be the game-winner for the Marauders on the road. Voltz scored in the second half on a feed from Jordan Slusher to provide the final margin. Olivia Coleman made four saves to record the shutout for MV (7-2-1, 3-1 HHC).
