The New Palestine football team moved up in both polls. The Dragons are now No. 3 in the AP Class 4A poll, while they rank No. 5 in the IFCA poll.
Evansville Reitz and Cathedral are 1-2 in both polls. In the AP, NP is ahead of Columbus East and East Central. Those two schools are just ahead of the Dragons in the IFCA poll.
NP is 5-0 for the first time since 1992. The Dragons visit Yorktown Friday night.
In girls soccer, New Palestine dropped one spot to No. 13 in the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Class 2A poll. The Dragons are 11-0-2 ahead of a Wednesday match at Pendleton Heights.
