The Hoosier Heritage Conference routinely posts one of the best non-conference records in the state. It'll probably be so again this year after the HHC went 13-3 against outside-of-league football competition. As we were broadcasting two games bright and early this morning, we have an early-evening edition of Saturday Morning QB: the HHC and Hancock County roundup.
Eastern Hancock 20, South Decatur 8: Great win for the Royals as they beat South Decatur and give coach Pat Echeverria his first victory. Delta 28, Carroll (Allen) 23: The Eagles wanted to make a statement, and Ozzie Mann's late fourth-down TD did it. Austin Fuatavai had 123 rushing yards to lead the Eagles.

Yorktown 34, Northwest 14: Brendon Barnes -- the Tigers' speedy senior back -- had 119 rushing yards and two TDs to lead the Tigers to a 2-0 record. The Tigers led 28-0 at half.
