Tuesday boys games

Andrew Smith had a great time filling in for our friend Bill Ludlow and and sitting in the sidekick chair with Keith Meyers on the HCSNRadio.com broadcast of Horizon Christian's 82-45 victory over Colonial Christian tonight (and one of Horizon's leading scorers was Hancock County resident Josiah Godbey), but there was lots of Hancock County basketball, too, tonight, so let's get to it:

Eastern Hancock kept rolling tonight, as the Royals posted a BIG win over Alexandria by an 84-50 score. The Royals are now 14-3, are undefeated against 1A and 2A teams, are literally three seconds away from being 16-1 and STILL aren't getting any love in the AP 2A poll. Dustin Smith had 23 points tonight for the Royals.

Greenfield-Central was knocked from the HHC lead by 3A No. 6 Rushville 47-27 tonight. The Cougars are now 6-10 and 4-2 in the HHC with one conference game remaining Saturday night against Delta. Rushville clinched a piece of the HHC title, which the Lions will share with Pendleton Heights. Both teams finish the year 6-1 in league play.

New Palestine dropped a 13-point decision at Westfield tonight. The Dragons are now 8-7 heading into a busy final few weeks.

Mt. Vernon plays Wednesday against Warren Central.

Friday night, the New Palestine Dragons host the Mt. Vernon Marauders in a late-season HHC rivalry game. Chris Lambert & Andrew Smith will have the call starting at 7:10 p.m. Then, join us Saturday morning as the Mt. Vernon Marauders face the Lebanon Tigers in the opening round of the IHSAA girls basketball regional from MV. We plan to be on at approximately 11:20 a.m.
