Wrestling: G-C 4th at Connersville Invitational

Greenfield-Central's wrestling team placed fourth in the 32-team Connersville Spartan Classic invitational over two days Wednesday and Thursday.



Cathedral won the event with 246 points, outpacing Roncalli (240), Evansville Reitz (228) and G-C (191.5). DeKalb (186) was fifth.


Leading the way for the Cougars was 138-pounder Josh Farrell, who was a perfect 5-0 on the two days and was his weight class' champion. Austin Rose (152) and Austin Gearlds (220) were both runners-up, going 4-1 in the event. Ian Early (195) placed third, going 6-1. Dezmen McGinley (170) was fifth, going 4-2. Also placing were Kyle Wilburn (6th, 182), Taylor Wright (7th, 106), Cole Moore (7th, 113) and Garrett Mullins (8th, 120).
