Greenfield-Central's girls improved to 12-6 on the year and finished HHC play with a 5-2 record after a 68-49 victory at Yorktown Tuesday night.
The Cougars jumped out to a 17-7 lead, and then outscored the Tigers 23-11 in the third quarter to pull ahead 53-34 going into the final eight minutes.
LaRae Cruz continued her high-scoring ways, totaling 22 points for the Cougars. Katie Peters and Sara Jones each added 10 points. Emily Koers had eight and Shelby Oldham six.
G-C finishes play next week with two games: at Whiteland Tuesday 1/31 and at home vs. Greenwood Thursday 2/2.
