G-C, Yorktown win HHC swim titles

Greenfield-Central's boys won their second straight HHC swimming title Saturday afternoon at New Palestine.

The Cougars had seven conference champions in the 12 events. New Palestine and Mt. Vernon tied for second place.

Nathan Graber set a school record in diving, as did the 400 free relay of James Young, Chris Wilburn, Patrick Stutz and Jon McCormick. The 400 free relay won, as did the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.

Young (200 free/100 fly/200 free relay/400 free relay) and McCormick (200 IM/100 breaststroke/200 free relay/400 free relay) were quadruple-conference champs for the Cougars.

In the girls meet, Yorktown was the champion, with New Palestine finishing second.

Greenfield-Central's Carly Fernandes won the 500 freestyle. No other schools' results have yet been reported.
