Girls soccer: New Palestine 2, Westfield 2
The Dragons are competing in a huge invitational at Zionsville this weekend, and opened with a tie. Lauren Joray scored both Dragon goals, on assists from Kalli Shepler-Tucker and Lindsay Meyer. Holly Hilton made five saves in goal for NP. On Thursday, the Dragons defeated Yorktown 2-0, behind two goals from Lauren Kehrt -- both of which were assisted by Jordan Barton.
Boys soccer: Mt. Vernon 6, Anderson 1
The Marauders had a big offensive night. Alex Sayre scored twice, while Caleb Young and Kyle Cansler both had a goal and an assist. Jake Brown and Trevor Johnson also scored for the Marauders, who are 4-2 on the season.
