Mt. Vernon scored 28 third-quarter points to beat Shelbyville 52-13. As usual, MV does it with balance. QB Austin Parker is 14-of-21 passing, but Zach McKinney runs for 150+ yards and a score, and five different Marauders crossed the goal line in the win.

Greenfield-Central thwarted a late two-point conversion from Rushville to extend its winning streak to three games. The Cougars are in the midst of their best start since the 2002 HHC championship team.

Delta beats Pendleton Heights 20-14 on a 29-yard TD pass from Ozzie Mann to Aaron Fry in the final minute. Delta went 57 yards in two minutes to notch the victory. PH played much of the last three quarters without top running back Dezmon Nunn, who suffered an injury in the first half.
