Girls soccer: New Palestine Invitational: The Dragons won their own invitational, beating University 4-0 in the opening game and Chatard 3-0 in the title game. The Dragons broke the ice with 2:41 to go in the first half on a goal by Nikki Villiger. Danielle Owens, Lauren Joray and Lauren Kehrt all scored in in a 15-minute stretch of the second half. Emilee Larson, Lindsay Meyer, Morgan Parish and Morgan Carpenter all had assists. Holly Hilton and Becca Cox posted a shutout. Tracie Meyer, Jordan Barton, Lindsey Kehrt, Ashley Roberts, Julie Hilton and Jennifer Roberts combined to hold University to three shots on goal. In the second game, Joray had a goal and two assists -- scoring in the 33rd minute of the first half, and then assisting on goals by Kalli Shepler-Tucker and Lauren Kehrt. NP is now 2-0-1 on the season.
