New Palestine High School
senior Kalli Shepler-Tucker has signed to play soccer at Indiana
University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
Shepler-Tucker
is a senior at NPHS and is a four-year member of the girls soccer program,
where she was a part of four sectional championship teams and two Hoosier
Heritage Conference champions. The Dragons had back-to-back unbeaten regular
seasons in both her junior and senior years.
Shepler-Tucker
had 11 goals and 11 assists in 21 games for the Dragons this season. For her
career, she had 23 goals and 20 assists in three years as a varsity player.
This season was her second straight 10-goal season, as she had 10 goals and
seven assists during the 2010 season, her junior year.
She will
be one of two former Dragons currently competing for the Jaguars and veteran
coach Chris Johnson, joining defender Sammi Deer, who will be a junior for
IUPUI next season.
Kalli is
the daughter of Darren Tucker and Susie Selke. She plans to major in elementary
education at IUPUI.
