Soccer, football on tap

HancockCountySports.com will have three sporting events the next three nights.

On Thursday, join Andrew Smith at 6:30 p.m. for boys soccer -- Mt. Vernon at Greenfield-Central in a key Hoosier Heritage Conference tilt. The Cougars are 4-2-1 and 1-0 in HHC play, while MV is 6-2 and 3-2 in league play.

On Friday, join our football crew at 6:30 for Mt. Vernon at Rushville. The Marauders are looking for their first 4-0 start since 2006, and the 1-2 rushing punch of Anthony Burnett and Tyler Dicks have been potent so far.

On Saturday morning, our football crew will be back to work at Lucas Oil Stadium. 11:30 a.m. is airtime for New Palestine vs. Delta. Two teams that are unbeaten on the field this season settle first place in the HHC -- as they've done for the last two years.
